
Judith E. Anapol, MSW, LCSW, BCD,
has been in the practice of clinical social work for more than
30 years, including inpatient and outpatient therapy,
supervision, administration, training, and community activities.
Ms. Anapol earned her Masters Degree at the George
Warren Brown School of Social Work at Washington University in
St. Louis. She is a member of the Academy of Certified Social
Workers (ACSW) and has been certified by the American Board of
Examiners in Clinical Social Work as a Board Certified Diplomate
in Clinical Social Work.
Specializing in cognitive-behavioral therapy, Ms. Anapol
sees adults in individual and family therapy. She has also
functioned in an administrative capacity in several settings.
Her professional interests and areas of focus include adult
attention deficit disorder (ADD),
issues of young adulthood, anorexia/bulimia, mood disorders,
difficulties faced by adult survivors of sexual abuse,
psychosomatic concerns, and role issues.
Active in a number of professional organizations, Ms.
Anapol is a member of the Attention Deficit Disorder
Association, National Association of Social Workers (NASW), and
a Fellow of the American Orthopsychiatric Association. She
currently serves as Vice-President of the Eastern Virginia
Society for Clinical Social Work and is the past Vice-President
of the Virginia Society for Clinical Social Work. She has also
served in an advisory capacity to numerous graduate school
committees and was a member of the Washington University Board
of Governors.
Cited in publications including Whos Who of American
Women, Ms. Anapol brings therapeutic acumen and wisdom gained
through a history of varied experiences in clinical practice.
